the teacher within
Yoga is about finding balance, harmony and freedom.
But sometimes in this quest, our practice becomes rigid.
We start to believe that our lineage or practice style is the best or only way.
We start to think that if we don’t eat a certain way, or practice for a long enough time, we are not doing it right.
We begin to set strict rules and boundaries for ourselves and maybe even judge others within this framework.
There is no balance, harmony or freedom in this.
Yet, without dedication to a certain path or belief, how do we evolve and grow?
How can we develop and refine our inner knowing without structure and discpline in our practice?
This is where we find true balance. Knowing when to hold on and move through discomfort. Knowing when to let go of something that is not right for you.
There are some teachers who may help guide you on your path. Their actions and advi e will show you examples of who you want to be. Sometimes they will also show you examples of what you do not want to be. They are all valuable teachings.
Ultimately, the true teacher comes from within.
